Dual‑core figure‑8 optical cable uses Φ900 µm or Φ600 µm tight‑buffered fibers as the optical transmission medium. It is covered with a layer of aramid yarn as the tensile strength member, and the outermost layer is extruded with a figure‑8 shaped polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or low‑smoke, halogen‑free, flame‑retardant (LSZH) sheath.
